Key Points

In this seminar, the participant will be trained in methods for analyzing and optimizing the EMC properties of circuits and devices.
The focus is on detecting and eliminating the causes of interference-immunity problems during burst- or ESD testing.

The following topics are covered:

  • Review of basic principles of immunity
  • Signal influence at interfaces
  • Dimensioning of connectors and coupling inductance
  • Influence of differential systems
  • ESD mechanisms and assembly design

The participant will carry out a large number of experiments on all of the above topics and, in doing so, gain experience carrying out measurements in the development stage and develop a better understanding of EMC.
